All papers scheduled for presentation at one of the three conferences EuMC 2004, GAAS 2004, ECWT 2004 or EuRAD 2004 will be published in the Book of Proceedings and on the CD-ROM.
All authors of accepted contributions (either oral presentation or poster) must submit a (final) paper to be published in the Proceedings.
Any late submissions cannot be published in the Book of Proceedings so please make sure we receive your paper in time.
The final papers should be exactly four A4 pages in length, including all illustrations, appendices and references. You can download templates and detailed instructions on how to format your final paper here:
The final papers must be submitted electronically in PDF format through the EuMW 2004 Electronic Paper Submission System to be accessed at www.eumw.net. Other formats like Word (*.doc) or Postscript (*.ps) cannot be accepted nor can we accept submissions by hardcopy, fax or e-mail. You can use Adobe Acrobat, Ghostscript or any other conversion tool to create PDF files but avoid using the "PDF Writer" which creates insufficient files for high quality printing. Make sure you embed all the fonts in the PDF file and create a high quality (high resolution) PDF. When using Adobe Acrobat please choose the "PRESS-READY" option to create your PDF (Never use the "PRINT-READY" or "Screen" or "E-BOOK" option!). If you use any other PDF tool always choose those options providing the highest quality (e.g. in Ghostscript choose the 720 dpi option and set Options/PDFSETTINGS to /prepress). Detailed instructions on how to create PDF files can be found here.
For the electronic submission you will have to use the same account you have already created when uploading your summary in February or March. After login you will find all the necessary instructions how to upload your PDF file. During this process you will also be asked to
- Confirm the originality of your paper
- Confirm that you have the permission to publish the paper (please check in advance)
- Ascribe copyright to either EuMA (for EuMC, ECWT or EuRAD papers) or GAAS (for GAAS papers)
- Enter a short (!) biography of the presenting author
The biography will only be handed over to the Chairman of the session you are presenting your paper in. He will use it to give a short introduction to your presentation.
In addition to the electronic submission of your paper we require that you complete one "Conference Copyright Statement" per submitted paper. Please download one of the two following forms, complete it and print it. Then add your signature and send it by mail (fax or email is not accepted) to Horizon House Publications, Gill Donovan, 46 Gillingham Street, London SW1V 1HH, United Kingdom.
Instructions on how to prepare your presentation for the conference (oral presentation with slides/Power Point or Poster) will be available on this website in a few weeks.
